Iowa State women's basketball ended its five-game losing streak Wednesday night in dominant fashion. Jada Williams delivered a career-high 44 points to lead the Cyclones to a 93-68 victory over Cincinnati at Hilton Coliseum.
Williams' performance was historic. It marked the first game of her career over 30 points and the highest total by a Cyclone in conference play, sitting just three points shy of Audi Crooks' season record of 47 points. The Arizona transfer showed why she's become essential to Iowa State's offense. Audi Crooks chipped in 24 points and extended her double-figure scoring streak to 86 straight games – the longest active streak in NCAA women's basketball.
After dropping five consecutive games following a program-record 14-win start, Iowa State desperately needed this win. The Cyclones improved to 15-5 overall and 3-5 in Big 12 play, getting a shot of confidence heading into their conference schedule. The win came with injured guard Arianna Jackson returning to action after missing time with a knee injury.
