Sutton Stracke is dealing with a messy family situation that just hit the airwaves. During RHOBH Season 15 Episode 11, the Real Housewives star opened up about her ex-husband Christian Stracke dating one of her closest friends—and the way she found out stung even more than the relationship itself.
Sutton explained she was shocked to learn Christian was dating her longtime friend and that neither one of them told her about the relationship, saying she had to hear it from her son. The couple had shared nearly two decades of friendship—the two had been friends since James was in kindergarten, referring to her now-19-year-old son. Their kids grew up together. So yeah, this one stings.
According to Sutton, the woman had gotten divorced and then she found out they were dating about six months later. Her son told her in confidence, saying "I'm telling you this in confidence, Mommy, and please don't tell Daddy that I told you." Sutton finally confronted Christian when she got the first annulment letter, saying "I think there's some things that you need to tell me, Christian."
Despite the awkwardness, Sutton acknowledged the situation is decidedly very strange, yet she approached it with surprising maturity and humor—saying about an upcoming trip, "But, I'm in St. Barts, so how bad can it be?" Rather than fighting her ex-husband's new romance, Sutton decided to embrace the blended family concept, even though it involves one of her own best friends. Her children, including daughter Porter (23), are similarly uncomfortable with their dad's new romance, though they're handling it with grace.
Sutton told Us Weekly in December 2025 that she and Christian are on good terms today. Christian currently lives in London, but they've seen each other during milestone moments for their children. "We're still very much intertwined and always will be," Stracke explained. "I think we finally made it to the friendship part of divorce."
