YouTube TV is shaking up streaming with something fans have been asking for: real choices. The service is introducing new, cheaper packages in 2026, allowing subscribers to choose smaller channel bundles such as sports, entertainment, news, or family. Instead of paying $83 for channels you'll never watch, the streaming service rolled out over ten customized bundles in February 2026, focusing on key categories such as sports, news, entertainment, and family programming.
The savings are real. YouTube TV now has a new News and Entertainment bundle that costs $63 per month, while larger combinations such as Sports, News, and Family can reach $78 a month. That's about $5 to $20 compared with the standard plan. Sports fans will have the option to choose the Sports Plan for just $64.99 a month, which costs $18 less than the main plan, and it includes access to mainstream sports broadcasters and several major sports networks, including ESPN and FS1.
YouTube TV isn't just cutting costs—it's overhauling the whole experience. Rolling out in 2026, users will be able to choose multiview layouts based on different content types, with the ability to enjoy a sports game while also watching a news program, with an additional window with your favorite TV show on. You'll also get unlimited DVR with no box rental fees, and up to six individual members will be able to use the same YouTube TV account at no additional cost.
The rollout is still happening gradually, so subscribers should check availability and switch plans through their YouTube TV settings. This is a big shift for a service that first launched back in 2017 at $35 a month, but by early 2025 viewers were paying $83 a month. Now, at least, you're paying for what actually matters to you.
