Zayn Malik just dropped one of the biggest announcements of his solo career. On Thursday, Feb. 5, the former One Direction member revealed tour dates for his biggest tour yet, and fans are already losing it. The Konnakol Tour will kick off on May 12 in Manchester, England, at the AO Arena, hitting arenas and stadiums across North America, South America, Mexico and the U.K. It's his first time headlining arenas and stadiums since leaving One Direction in 2015.
The album "Konnakol" arrives on April 17, with the lead single "Die for Me" dropping on Feb. 6—yes, that's this week. During his recent Las Vegas residency at Park MGM, Zayn debuted and previewed several songs from the new album, and fans got their first taste of the upcoming era. The album's title is named after konnakol, which is the art of performing percussion syllables vocally in South Indian Carnatic music, hinting at something culturally rich and musically adventurous.
Here's the key timeline: Tickets will go on sale first through the Zayn VIP KEY pre-sale on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 12 p.m. local time. Fans not yet signed up for VIP KEY can join through Sunday, Feb. 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with additional pre-sales running throughout the week ahead of a general on-sale starting Feb. 13. The 31-date Live Nation-produced tour will hit arenas in the U.K. in May, Mexico in June, and U.S. arenas in July and August.
